Star Wars: Rivals Visual Development & Character Design

Star Wars Rivals, is a collectible card game developed by Prospero Hall, and published by Funko!

As a life long Star Wars fan, this was a dream project! Not only did I get to help develop the visual look of the game, but I was also responsible for all of the character designs, which were used for the final box art, game miniatures, card, game mat, and marketing.

In this project I collaborated with the teams at Lucasfilm and Funko Games/Prospero Hall as we developed series 1 and 2 over the course of 2 years. I worked closely with the Art Director, Game Producer and Art Producer of the project to reiterate on characters as needed to make sure the licensor was happy with all of the characters. Each character had at least 3 different poses needed. Some needed to be iconic poses, and others I had to explore myself.

Series 1 debuted at Star Wars Celebration in London, which was a ton of fun because I got to go and experience all of the work at the giant Funko Games booth!
